The Investment Commission today signed a cooperation memorandum with Amman Vision Investment and Development, with the aim of increasing joint cooperation in surveying and promoting the investment opportunities available in the capital, Amman, and exchanging descriptions of available projects and investment opportunities and feasibility studies. The memorandum was signed for the Investment Commission by its Chairman, Dr. Khaled Al-Wazani, and for Amman Vision Investment and Development by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh. The signing was attended by the Secretary General of the Investment Commission, Fereidoun Hartouqa, the Chief Executive Officer of Amman Vision Investment and Development, Eng. Hamza Al-Haj Hassan, and the City Manager at the Greater Amman Municipality, Eng. Ahmad Al-Malkawi.
The Chairman of the Board of Amman Vision Investment and Development, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, praised the Investment Commission's efforts in attracting investment and enabling existing investments. He affirmed that Amman Vision Investment and Development is the principal developer of the land and investment licences owned by the Municipality and offers many genuine investment opportunities in land and assets to investors wishing to deliver successful and viable projects. Al-Shawarbeh explained that the company is distinguished by providing economic feasibility studies to the highest professional standards, rather than merely presenting ideas or marketing plots of land, in order to give investors confidence and make things easier for them.
He said: "The memorandum of understanding with the Investment Commission, as the government body responsible for stimulating and attracting investment across the various public and private sectors, will promote investment opportunities in the Greater Amman Municipality's assets in a way that serves the achievement of rewarding and regular returns while preserving the true value of the Municipality's holdings and assets."
The Chairman of the Investment Commission, Dr. Al-Wazani, affirmed that Jordan holds many promising investment opportunities that are attractive to investors, affirming that the investment opportunities prepared by Amman Vision Investment and Development and provided to the Investment Commission are diverse opportunities across many fields and attractive to investors, since today's investor is looking for genuine investment opportunities that deliver a return on invested capital.
He affirmed that the Investment Commission would promote these investment opportunities within a package of opportunities it had prepared in cooperation with the public and private sectors locally and abroad, using all the varied and modern promotional means available, whether by employing modern technology for direct communication with investors and with the help of the Kingdom's embassies abroad, in addition to social media platforms in light of the current travel ban resulting from the repercussions of the novel coronavirus.
He said the Investment Commission had sought to sign the cooperation memorandum with Amman Vision Investment and Development out of a desire to consolidate relations of cooperation and joint coordination between the two sides in economic, investment and research fields, in addition to maximising partnership between the public and private sectors.
