Amman Vision Investment Company Launches Its Operations. Saturday 18-01-2020, 03:57 pm, Local. Al-Anbat - Amman Vision Investment and Development, the investment and development arm of the Greater Amman Municipality, held a special ceremony at the W Hotel on Saturday to mark the launch of its operations, under the patronage of the Mayor of Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh. During the ceremony, the Mayor of Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, gave a detailed presentation on the company's role, objectives and vision, and announced the launch of the first group of seven projects and investment opportunities through the company, which is the principal developer of the land and investment licences owned by the Municipality and offers many investment opportunities in land and assets to investors wishing to contribute to the renaissance of Amman and the Kingdom and to deliver successful and viable projects. The Mayor of Amman also noted that investment in the Municipality's assets through Amman Vision Investment and Development is open to everyone and is not the preserve of anyone in particular.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Hamza Al-Haj Hassan, noted that Amman Vision Investment and Development provides a diverse range of investment opportunities that serve the city and meet the needs of the market and investors and the aspirations of the Greater Amman Municipality and Jordanian society, through several investment options that express a genuine partnership between the public and private sectors, such as direct leasing, revenue or profit sharing, in-kind equity contribution, and build-operate-transfer projects, all with the aim of achieving investment returns through sustainable projects that keep pace with Jordan's modern urban landscape.
The Chief Executive Officer presented the first group of investment projects to the audience along with their details in terms of the number of jobs each generates, the scale of investment and the area of each project, which were to be published the following day, Sunday 19/1/2020, in local newspapers, in the newspapers of the fellow Gulf states, and in economic magazines. He also announced that, as of the following day, the company would begin receiving letters of interest for the announced projects through the form available on the website www.ammanvision.jo, as well as receiving any expression of interest in delivering a project on the Municipality's land and assets through its offices in the Abdali area.
Amman Vision Investment and Development also owns Amman Vision Transport, which aims to raise the efficiency of the public transport system in Amman and had already achieved considerable success in launching the "Amman Bus" service in July 2019. The first group of projects launched by Amman Vision comprised: the motor city in Al-Madouneh, which brings together new and used car dealers and traders and the associated services in one location; the Ghamdan project with its options, the first a leisure and services scheme offering a wide range of recreational activities, hotel buildings and a conference centre, and the second a residential complex for those wishing to live away from the noise on the city's edge amid stunning surroundings; a mini box park in Abdoun bringing local, international and leisure brands together side by side; the investment strip (the Abdoun Corridor), which comprises residential, health and leisure projects; the exhibition grounds on Airport Road, comprising exhibition and conference halls and theatres; the Banking District in Abdoun, which provides banking services in an interactive and professional working environment; and automated car parks and smart parking in multiple areas, providing intelligent solutions for organising parking within cities.
