The Investment Commission on Wednesday signed a cooperation memorandum with Amman Vision Investment and Development, with the aim of strengthening joint cooperation in surveying and promoting investment opportunities and exchanging project descriptions and feasibility studies. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Khaled Al-Wazani, and the Chairman of the Board of the company, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh. Al-Shawarbeh affirmed that the company is the principal developer of the land and investment licences owned by the Municipality, and offers many genuine investment opportunities in land and assets to investors wishing to deliver successful and viable projects. He said: "The memorandum with the Commission, as the government body responsible for stimulating and attracting investment across the various public and private sectors, will promote investment opportunities in the Municipality's assets in a way that achieves rewarding and regular returns while preserving the true value of the Municipality's holdings and assets." Al-Wazani affirmed that Jordan holds many promising investment opportunities that are attractive to investors, noting that the investment opportunities prepared by the company and provided to the Commission are diverse opportunities across many fields attractive to investors, because today's investor is looking for genuine opportunities that deliver a return on invested capital. He explained that the Commission would promote these investment opportunities within a package of opportunities it had prepared in cooperation with the public and private sectors locally and abroad, using all the varied and modern promotional means available, whether by employing modern technology for direct communication with investors and with the help of the Kingdom's embassies abroad, in addition to social media platforms in light of the current travel ban resulting from the repercussions of the novel coronavirus. He said the Commission had sought to sign the memorandum with the company out of a desire to consolidate relations of cooperation and joint coordination in economic, investment and research fields, in addition to maximising partnership between the public and private sectors. The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Eng. Hamza Al-Haj, said the company provides a diverse range of investment opportunities to meet the needs of the market and investors and the aspirations of the Municipality and Jordanian society, through several investment options in a genuine partnership between the public and private sectors, in order to achieve investment returns via sustainable projects that keep pace with Jordan's modern urban landscape. He invited all those interested to explore the available opportunities and apply through the website or by visiting the company's offices. Petra
